Farmcrowdy wins multi-awards including Tech Start-up of the Year 2017 at Nigeria Technology Awards
At the recently concluded Nigerian Technology Awards, Farmcrowdy, Nigeria’s first digital agriculture company carted away three of the five awards the company was nominated for.
Nominated for five awards in various categories, the agritech company won the Tech Startup of the Year award, Agric-tech Company/Platform of the Year and Farmcrowdy’s CEO Onyeka Akumah, won the award for Tech Startup Founder/CEO of the Year 2017.
Speaking after the event, Onyeka Akumah, Farmcrowdy’s co-founder and CEO took to Twitter to express his excitement. He said, “I’m so excited about winning 3 awards at the Nigeria Technology Awards including Tech Startup CEO of the year 2017 and @farmcrowdy winning the Tech Startup of the Year 2017 and Agritech Platform of the Year 2017. Super proud moment for my team!!!”
He also stated that the victory could not have been achieved without the support of the Farmcrowdy community and thanked everyone that has supported them in different ways. Farmcrowdy just recently launched it’s mobile app for Andriod and Apple users on it’s first year anniversary on the 14th of November, 2017, so this award continues to show how much growth the young start-up has experienced in the last 12 months.
The Nigeria Technology Awards (NITA) is an award organized to Celebrate and reward Technology Entrepreneurs, Innovators, Inventors, Academicians and policy makers (Government) in Nigeria in order to promote and commend the excellent achievements to which Nigeria Technology professionals and organizations contribute.
