The present administration with the support of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) provided a sum of N2.1bn as take off capital for the Osun Micro Credit Agency for disbursement to eligible beneficiaries.
The state Commissioner for Commerce, Industries, Cooperatives and Empowerment, Ismaila Jayeoba-Alagbada said the N2.1bn initial capital had matured to N3, 660, 335, 000.
According to him, 11, 391 beneficiaries from the commerce sector were given N1, 677, 481, 000 credit, 9, 100 beneficiaries from agriculture sector were given N1, 339, 682, 000, while 2552 Manufacturers were provided N375, 711, 000.
