The Senegalese is part of a lethal front three that took Porto apart in the last 16 – and believes his side can beat anyone.
The Senegalese is one third of one of Europe’s most lethal front three, alongside Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah.
A comfortable last 16 victory over Porto sees Jurgen Klopp’s side as a dark horse in the tournament and Mane has refused to play down their chances.
“There are almost only top clubs left in the race,” Mane admitted. “We are all aware that if you want to become a champion you must be champions.
We have got the quality to beat every team in the world. And we’ll try exactly that.
“Why should Liverpool not be on top in 2018? We want to win the Champions League. I am convinced we can do it for the first time since 2005.”
Without the FA Cup to congest their schedule and a top four place almost secured, Klopp will hope to enter the first leg of the last eight on April 3-4 in top form.
