
The governor stated this in Ekpoma in Esan West Local Government Area (LGA) and at Irrua in Esan Central LGA during a town hall meeting with farmers.
Represented by his Special Adviser on Agriculture, Prince Joe Okojie, he said the state government hopes to grow its GDP though agriculture.
He said the project is a collaborative effort involving farmers, the state government, a commercial bank, the Central Bank and other service providers.
“We are serious about this programme and we want it to succeed. We must abide by the MoU. We have made everything possible; access to funding and market for the products.
“We want a paradigm shift from the way we used to carry out our agricultural practice through the introduction of modern means of farming.”
