The Nigerian Police has assured its personnel that the shortfall in the payment of their salaries for April, this year, was due to system error and already being resolved by the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF).
A statement signed by Force Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood, in Abuja, yesterday, said the affected personnel would get their salary differential paid by Monday, May 7.
Moshood, an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), noted that the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has directed all the commissioners of Police and their supervising Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs) to lecture and educate their personnel, who have any complaint from payment of February, March and April salaries that their complaints were being rectified.
The statement added: “Affected Police personnel are enjoined not to panic as the Force is doing everything in conjunction with OAGF of the Accountant-General of the Federation to ensure that all the identified problems in the payment of salary of Police personnel across the country are permanently resolved.”
