Senator Oluremi Tinubu, representing Lagos Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, has congratulated Muslim faithful in her district, Lagos State and Nigeria on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast, wishing them a happy celebration.
She said the fasting and prayer season was a period for sober reflection and recommitment to pray for the wellbeing of Nigerians, adding: “It is my hope that beyond this period, we will continue to pray for the security, peace and prosperity of our nation.
“It is my prayer that our acts of Ibadah will be accepted.“We must also be watchful, refusing to be polarised along ethnic or religious lines or be used to incite violence.“Beyond this, we must focus on ensuring the progress of Nigeria and her budding democracy by ensuring that only those who have our collective interests are given the privilege of leadership,” she said.
