
The governor gave the charge in his address at the second Ilero Day and launching of development fund, which brought together the sons and daughters of the agrarian community.
Ajimobi promised that government would give all the necessary support to any community that took such initiative.
The governor used the opportunity to express appreciation to the people of Oke-Ogun for their continued support to his administration and for voting massively for the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the last general election.
He assured them of his administration’s readiness to provide social infrastructure that would accelerate the socio-economic development of the area.
He stressed the need for the promotion of mechanized agriculture through the provision of agricultural machinery that would boost food production in the state.
The governor, who observed that Oke-Ogun area had the largest arable farmland in the state, said that the potential would be fully harnessed for the overall benefit of the state.
