THE Bishop, Diocese of Ife, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Rt. Rev. Oluranti Odubogun has urged ministers of God to live in accordance with God’s word, noting that Christ’s second coming is imminent. The Bishop made this known during the ordination/ presentation/installation and collation of archdeacons at the Cathedral Church of St. Philip, Ayetoro, Ile-Ife, recently.

Counseling the newly ordained priests, the cleric reminded them of their commitment to the things of God and the urgency to preach the good news to every creature.

While congratulating the ministers, Odubogun said: “God, Himself chose you and put His stamp of authority on you, which automatically makes you stewards and ambassadors of Christ, expected to go and spread the gospel, emphasising the imminent coming of the Lord.

“Appropriate candidate whom God has chosen passes through some trainings in line with the assignment ahead of him and at the completion of such training, he is commissioned to go forth into the field.”

At the Advent Ordination of seven priests, presentation of five honourary canons, installation of four statutory canons and collation of three archdeacons were: Rev. Adebayo Adekanmi, Rev. Moses Sanjo Efunwole, honourary canons: Rev. Benjamin Ayegunle, Rev. Olufemi Afolabi; statutory canons: Rev. Oludele Adeyemi, Rev. Joshuna Oni and Archdeacons: Rev. Canon Stephen Abidemi Adekunle and Rev. Canon Festus Folarin among others.
