Bishop cautions Buhari’s ministers against graft

President-Muhammadu-Buhari-and-ministersBISHOP, Lagos West Anglican Diocese, Rt. Rev. Olusola James Odedeji has said President Muhammadu Buhari cannot fight corruption if his cabinet members do not share his vision and crusade for the country.

He made this assertion during the commendation service for late Mrs. Caroline Adefiola Adebiyi, wife of immediate past Bishop of the Diocese, Lagos West Anglican Communion, Dr. Peter Awelewa Adebiyi.

According to the Odedeji, “We can only curb corruption in this country if President Buhari’s cabinet members are not involved in graft as this will not take us anywhere. If people who are respected in this country are found guilty of this vice, then we are in trouble because they cannot be in this mess and try to criticize another, just as the Bible says that you cannot take away the peck in another’s eyes when you have a bigger one logged in your eyes.”

He extolled the virtues of late Mrs. Adebiyi, maintaining that she was a very good woman, who loved everybody maintained a good relationship with all who came across her.

“She was an epitome of love, dedication, commitment and she believed so much in possibilities, which has helped her achieve her set goals.”
