
Amosun, who spoke during his address at Arcade ground, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, at this year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration insisted that only violence-free society could experience meaningful development.
The governor had earlier released 20 pigeons, which stood for freedom and unity of all local governments in the state. He called for good welfare package for the army and the families of fallen heroes.
Amosun was accompanied by 35 Artillery Brigade Commander of the State, Dan Wallis, Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, Olu of Ilaro, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Michael Adeniyi Sonariwo, Commissioner for Police, Abdulmajid Ali and other dignitaries to lay wreaths at the Arcade ground to honour the late soldiers.
