LAGOS-based lawyer, Festus Keyamo, has said that there was a sort of politics behind the switching of the budget, presented to the Senate by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Keyamo said the budget-switching saga should be properly investigated and dealt with in accordance with the rules.

He said: “There have been some sort of politics involved in the budget disappearance saga. The President just has to re-present the budget again, because the National Assembly will just have to insist that it will only debate the original version presented to it by Mr. President’

“The implication is that there are certain political manoeuvre at play here. However, there is no complication as far as the law is concerned here.

“President Buhari has to re-present the budget and the Senate is high and dry.”
