Fans can’t stop talking about Beyoncé’s recent performance at the Global Citizen Festival which held on Sunday, December 2 in South Africa.

Being one of the biggest music stars in the world, it is not an overstatement by saying that performing with Beyoncé is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

British singer, Ed Sheeran got that opportunity when he and Beyoncé performed their 2017 song, “Perfect” but many were not pleased with both his outfit and his performance.

For the performance, the “Shape of You” hitmaker wore baggy jeans, sneakers and a T-shirt underneath another T-shirt, which many felt was appropriate for a concert in a garage and not next to Beyoncé who dazzled in a sculptural pink gown.

Sheeran’s choice of outfit had many fans pointing out the double standard between the expectations for male and female pop stars. “

“Ed Sheeran is a 27 year old man the fact we’ve enabled him to feel it’s ok to dress like this at all, let alone next to Beyoncé really boils my piss,” one Twitter user wrote.

However, Sheeran who had already made one faux pax made another during his performance with Beyoncé when he messes up a note, causing Beyoncé who’s enjoying the music with her eyes closed at the time to open them abruptly and look at her duet partner.

It is noteworthy that Ed Sheeran was recently ranked as the third world’s highest paid celebrity of 2018 by Forbes magazine while Beyoncé ranked 11 on the list.
