A FEDERAL Capital Territory (FCT) High Court yesterday admitted National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisah Metuh, to bail in the sum of N300 million.

Metuh, who is standing trial on a two-count charge bordering on destruction of evidence on Thursday, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

His counsel, Mr. Onyechi Ikpeazu (SAN), yesterday orally prayed the court to admit the accused person to bail on ground that Metuh had earlier been granted bail at a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.

The prosecution did not oppose the bail application.

The trial Judge, Justice Ishaq Bello, granted the accused bail in the sum of N300 million, with two sureties in like sum, who must present to the court a traceable place of residence within the jurisdiction of the court.
