Airforce School, Effortswill to battle for Doregos Basketball Championship trophy

basketball-bilder.posterAirforce Secondary School, Lagos, which played in the final of the Doregos Basketball Championship in 2014, has another chance to fight for the title after defeating Christ Redeemers School in one of this season’s semifinals decided at the weekend.

The Airforce boys will on February 4 meet Efforts will School, which beat Roniks in the second semifinal.

The emergence of the finalists means that the 2015 trophy of the Doregos Inter-School Basketball Championship will go to a new team as the defending champions, International School, Lagos (ISL), failed to make the last four.
 
In the girls’ semifinal tie, ISL ladies made up for their boys’ exit by beating host, Doregos Private Academy, while Greensprings also confirmed their place in the final with a win over Solid Rock.
 
For 12 years, the annual Doregos Inter-School Basketball Championship has been staged uninterrupted, with 26 teams from Lagos and Ogun States participating in the current tournament, which dunked off on November 7, 2015.
