Conspiracy cannot be ruled out, because Oby Ezekwesili who initiated “Bring Back Our Girls” has been representing PMB’s wife, Aisha Buhari, at some functions. Oniororo was writing as a human rights activist until he sold out; ditto Dr. Abati. Not long ago, PMB himself gave the Chibok girls as an excuse not to dialogue with Boko Haram, even though his predecessor, Jonathan (GEAJ) and himself have used Nigeria’s security forces to bombard land, air, and sea, Sambisa Forest, where report said the girls were kept. Did the Chibok girls survive the battles? What is clear is that “Bring Back Our Girls” is now politicised in favour of what PMB wants: endless war with Boko Haram. \
Privatisation has not worked because those who sell the ventures (e.g. power) buy them through proxies, and nobody cries treating his or her own wound. Yet, privatization is the best policy, if done dispassionately. I thought, given the impression he created while seeking election, that PMB could help Nigeria do privatization as done in developed countries. Apparently, all that glitters is not gold.
If PMB were not a “Baba go slow”, he would have pushed for Nigeria’s refineries to work and compete with private refineries and Nigeria would have decided what to do under a relaxed atmosphere. What did he do with the so-called illegal refineries, and who advised him?
PMB should go out of his way to ensure that the Shi’ites’ issue does not compound Nigeria’s crisis.
