Speaking on behalf of the oil communities, a stakeholder and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Eket/Esit Eket/Onna/Ibeno Federal Constituency, Patrick Ifon said such fees charged by DPR on his people was not acceptable as it makes it almost impossible for people in his constituency to get gainful employment in the oil companies.
The intending lawmaker said if elected, he would definitely work to charge such imbalance.
On the delayed and haphazard job done on the Eket axis of the East West road, Ifon said the Eket people have complained bitterly, urging the federal government to do the proper thing adding that the project is delayed because there is no coordination in federal agencies.
