Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, yesterday, bid the last batch of Kano pilgrims farewell, imploring them to pray for sustainable peace and tranquility in Nigeria.

Addressing the 330 pilgrims, including state officials, medical team and members of the pilgrims’ welfare board at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano, Ganduje reiterated the need to seek spiritual intervention for the security challenges bedeviling the nation.

He, however, cautioned the contingents against breaching diplomatic ties, stating that government would reprimand anyone found portraying Kano in bad image.

Executive Secretary, Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Mohammad Abba Danbatta informed the Governor that with the departure of the last batch, the board had successfully airlifted 3,170 pilgrims for 2019 hajj exercise.
