On 20th December 2022, H. E. Dr. Benson Alfred Bana, High Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania to the Republic of Ghana, presented the Letters of Credence to His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana. 

During the Ceremony, the High Commissioner informed the President his desire to take Ghana and Tanzania bilateral ties to greater heights through promotion of trade, tourism and investments within the ambit of AfCFTA as well as teaching of Kiswahili language in Ghana during his tour of duty.

H.E President Akufo-Addo assured the High Commissioner of the necessary support and cooperation required to enable him carry out smoothly his diplomatic duties in Ghana. He emphasized on the need to enhance the bilateral relations between the two countries which rests upon the strong pillars built by the late Kwame Nkrumah and Mwalimu Julius Nyerere, the fathers of the two sister countries.
