Qatar’s Embassies and Consulates Continue to Celebrate Qatar National Day

The Diplomatic, consular and representative missions of the State of Qatar abroad proceeded with their celebrations on the occasion of the national day of the State of Qatar that coincides with Dec.18, each year, in commemoration of the memory of the founder of the State of Qatar Sheikh Jassim Bin Mohammed Bin Thani under the slogan: “Our unity is source of our strength”.

Their Excellences heads of the diplomatic, consular and representative missions of the State of Qatar abroad availed themselves of this opportunity to extend assurances of their highest consideration to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and all the people of the State of Qatar on this auspicious occasion wishing the State of Qatar further progress and prosperity.

The Qatari diplomatic celebrations in the capitals and cities of the world received high-level official and popular participations that reflected Qatar's distinct relations with the world countries.
In Amman, the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, organized a celebration on the occasion of the national day of the State of Qatar.

The ceremony was attended by HH Prince Mired Raad, HH Prince Prince Rakan Raad, HH Prince Asem bin Nayef, HE Senate President Faisal Fayez, HE speaker of Jordan's House of Representatives Ahmed Safadi, along with a host of Their Excellences the ministers, the current and former officials and members of the Senate and representatives in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, including heads and representatives of the diplomatic missions and media professionals.

During the celebration, the speech of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani delivered in the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 was screened.
The ceremony also included many poems, artistic links and video clips that reflect the renaissance of the State of Qatar and the accomplishments it has achieved in all fields.

In his remarks delivered during the celebration, HE Senate President Faisal Fayez extended the congratulation to the State of Qatar, leadership, government and people, on this occasion wishing the State of Qatar permanent security and stability and further progress and prosperity.

His Excellency said that the great and distinct achievement and success for the State of Qatar by organizing the world cup tournament were achieved by the efforts of the people of Qatar and their wise leadership, adding that the people in Jordan boast of their relations with the sisterly Qatar, indicating that they are historic and deep-rooted ties, and HM King Abdullah II and his brother HH the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani are committed to developing them.

His Excellency thanked the State of Qatar for its support to Jordan and for standing by Jordan, in addition to enhancing the investments in the kingdom, underscoring his keenness to strengthen the relations with the State of Qatar, specially in light of the circumstances and challenges facing the region and the world.

For his part, HE the State of Qatar's Ambassador to Jordan Sheikh Saud bin Nasser bin Jassim Al -Thani underscored the depth and the solid of the distinct bilateral relations that link the two sisterly countries in multiple fields and at all levels supported by the fraternal ties between HM King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein and his brother HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
His Excellency said that since the diplomatic bonds were established in 1972, the relations witnessed remarkable progress and growth in all fields, thanks to the wise visions of the two leaderships, until they became a model for the Arab relations that serve the issues of security and stability in the region.

His Excellency added that the celebration of the national day of the State of Qatar demonstrates the meanings of pride in the homeland and loyalty to the ancestors and their eternal sacrifices, and pride in the wise leadership.

HE the State of Qatar's Ambassador to Jordan Sheikh Saud bin Nasser bin Jassim Al -Thani underlined that the slogan of the national day this year, as preferred by HH the Amir ” Our unity is source of our strength”, is the approach of the beloved people of Qatar that is based on solidarity, cohesion and synergy to counter the challenges and achieve the intended goals even in better and worse situations, adding that if this unity had not been achieved, the State of Qatar would not have been remained in the position today, and no fingers would have been pointed to it, and it would not have been able to host the world cup on this precious land.

His Excellency pointed out that the celebration of the national day this year is different from the previous years, which coincides with the global event by Qatar's hosting of the world cup tournament.
In this regard, His Excellency noted that the world came to Qatar in this global occasion with its multiple cultures, adding that the people of the State of Qatar are keen to consolidate their culture in their homeland and in the generations to come, therefore, this year featured 4500 cultural and heritage activities over 24 days to be a landmark for their civilized legacy that reflects the Qatari heritage and national values, which revealed to the visitors of the State of Qatar at that time the bright aspects in the history and culture of the people of Qatar, and the extent of their belief in the civilized reaction with the rest of the cultures, in addition to their pride in the Arabic and Islamic values.

His Excellency pointed out that the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 demonstrated the civilized identity of the State of Qatar, along with its economic, security and administrative capability, and its candid achievements in all fields, gathered all nations, united the feelings and confirmed that it is possible for the world to unite in the face of the major challenges that threaten the entire humanity.
HE Sheikh Saud bin Nasser bin Jassim Al -Thani extended his thanks and appreciation to the leadership, government and people of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for their support and cooperation to have a successful and major football event.

In Jeddah, Consulate-General of the State of Qatar in Jeddah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia held a celebration on the occasion of the national day of the State of Qatar. The ceremony was attended by Governor of Jeddah HH Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, along with a host of officials.

In Ashgabat, the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Turkmenistan held a celebration on the occasion of the national day of the State of Qatar. The ceremony was attended by HE Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Batyr Atdaev, along with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, senior personalities and heads of the diplomatic missions accredited to Turkmenistan, in addition to businessmen and media professionals in the country.

In his remarks on this occasion, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Turkmenistan Hamad bin Rashid Al Athba clarified that the national day is a precious occasion for every single Qatari citizen, reflects the cohesion and synergy of the people of Qatar and demonstrates the meanings of glory, supremacy and pride in homeland, in addition to the accomplishments achieved by the State of Qatar in all fields.

His Excellency pointed out that the celebration of the national day this year has special significance, because it coincides with hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 finals.
HE Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan extended the congratulation to the State of Qatar on the occasion of the national day, wishing further progress and prosperity for the relations between the two countries, lauding the unique and meticulous organization of the world cup that achieved record figures.

In Moscow, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Russian Federation organized a celebration on the occasion of the State's National Day, in the presence of HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Russia Sheikh Ahmed bin Nasser Al-Thani.

The ceremony was also attended by a number of senior officials, heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the Russian Federation, and community figures. In Nouakchott, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania held a celebration on the occasion of the country's National Day.

The ceremony was attended by HE Minister of Justice of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Cheikh Abdoullah Ould Boya, senior state officials and employees, and members of the diplomatic and consular corps accredited to Nouakchott.

The ceremony included presentation of introductory video clips about the State of Qatar, its culture and historical landmarks, which highlighted aspects of the comprehensive renaissance march that the country is witnessing in various fields. In Bandar Seri Begawan, the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Brunei Darussalam held a celebration on the occasion of the country's National Day.
The ceremony was attended by a “guest of honor” representing the Brunei government, a number of senior officials in the Brunei government, members of the Arab and foreign diplomatic corps accredited to Brunei, businessmen, and the press and media.

In Warsaw, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Poland organized a celebration on the occasion of the State's National Day. In Los Angeles, the Consulate General of the State of Qatar in Los Angeles, USA, held a celebration on the occasion of the State's National Day.

The ceremony was attended by members of the diplomatic and consular corps accredited in Los Angeles, and a number of media, economists, culture and art figures. In a speech on this occasion, HE Consul General of the State of Qatar in Los Angeles Mansour bin Abdulla Al Sulaitin commended the country's renaissance and achievements in all fields under the wise vision of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

A number of attendees expressed their appreciation to the State of Qatar, praising the comprehensive development it is witnessing, and its hosting of the best version of the World Cup represented in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

In Addis Ababa, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and representative of the State of Qatar to the African Union Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Dosari, organized a celebration on the occasion of the country's National Day. The ceremony was attended by a number of dignitaries and heads of diplomatic missions and international and regional organizations accredited to Ethiopia.

In Nairobi, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Kenya held a celebration on the occasion of the State's National Day. The ceremony was attended by HE Minister of Defense Aden Barre Duale, a “guest of honor” representing the Kenyan government, a number of members of Parliament and the Senate, senior officials from the presidential palace, heads and representatives of diplomatic missions, officials and employees of international organizations accredited to Kenya. The ceremony included a live show of the final match of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

In Kigali, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Rwanda organized a celebration on the occasion of the country's National Day. In Istanbul, the Consulate General of the State of Qatar in Istanbul, Republic of Turkey, held a celebration on the occasion of the State's National Day.

The ceremony was attended by HE Governor of Istanbul Ali Yerlikaya, a number of civil and military officials, in addition to heads and representatives of diplomatic missions in Istanbul.
In Belgrade, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Serbia Faris bin Roumi Al Nuaimi, organized a celebration on the occasion of the State's National Day.

The ceremony was attended by HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture Maja Gojkovic, HE Minister of Economy Rade Basta, HE Minister of Tourism and Youth Hussein Mimic, a number of senior officials in the Republic of Serbia, in addition to heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to Serbia, and a group of political and cultural figures, the media, press and society, who extended their congratulations to the State of Qatar on this occasion.

In his speech, HE the Ambassador spoke about the importance of this historic day, in which the meanings of pride in the homeland and the wise leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, are evident, pointing out that the slogan of the current year is an affirmation of the Qatari people's approach based on solidarity and cohesion to confront challenges and achieving goals.
His Excellency noted that the celebration of the National Day is of particular importance this year. It coincided with the State of Qatar's hosting of the World Cup, which showed the civilized identity of the country, in addition to its economic, security and administrative capabilities and its clear achievements in all fields.

His Excellency expressed the gratitude of the Qatari people for the support and praise for the success in organizing this great global humanitarian event, stressing that this unique experience belongs to humanity, as it brought together peoples and unified feelings, and stressed that the State of Qatar is keen to support all efforts aimed at promoting civilized and cultural openness among the peoples of the world.

His Excellency said that the State of Qatar attaches great importance to enhancing bilateral cooperation with the Republic of Serbia, by activating the agreements concluded, and intensifying the exchange of visits between senior officials to raise bilateral relations to the highest levels under the wise leadership of HH the Amir and HE the President of the Republic of Serbia.
