Serious in its commitment to digital information security, TECNO Security Response Center (SRC) (https://bit.ly/3e6nOyH) sponsored the latest Security BSides in Ahmedabad, India in 2021. More than 400 security specialists and professionals attended the conference, fostering cooperation and exchanges between TECNO and security industry experts, researchers and organizations. The sponsorship helped level the playing field and deliver the latest research and knowledge to amateurs and professionals who cannot travel to or have access to more prominent conferences. The contribution shows TECNO's commitment to securing its own devices and software and the broader IT security society.

BSides Discussed Spyware, Android Vulnerabilities and More

Founded in 2009, the Security BSides is a community-driven framework for building events for and by information security community members. BSides events are intense and filled with participants' discussions, demos, and interaction. Run and participated by the community itself, these conferences are where conversations for the next big thing happen.

BSides opened with a keynote address by Heath Adams, The Cyber Mentor (TCM), on information security, cyber security and ethical hacking. Security issues pertinent to both individuals and organizations were presented. The conference discussed the latest updates and research on Google Vehicle Routing Problems (VRP), android vulnerabilities, mobile spyware, Amazon mis-configurations and more. There was also a full-day car hacking workshop. The idea was to showcase how a vehicle can be manoeuvred remotely and used for system penetration with an entire array of tools at the hacker's disposal.

SRC Boosts TECNO Technologies and InfoSec Community
