The Khartoum Overseas Election Committee (PPLN) on Wednesday (5/4/2023) held an Open Plenary Meeting on the Recapitulation and Determination of the Foreign Temporary Voter List (DPS LN) in the Khartoum PPLN Working Area, located in the Multipurpose Room of the Indonesian Embassy in Khartoum.

The Plenary Meeting was chaired by the Chairperson of the Khartoum PPLN M. Luqman Hambali, attended by the Indonesian Ambassador Khartoum Sunarko and the Social and Cultural Affairs Function Officer, all PPLN members, Secretariat members, and LN Pantarlih members as well as the PKS Sudan Information and Service Center (PIP) as representatives of the parties participating in the election.

Starting the meeting, the Chairman of PPLN Khartoum, Mr. M. Luqman Hambali explained that the recapitulation of the results of Matching and Research (Coklit) data for Indonesian citizens in Sudan had been completed in full from a total of 1,374 initial data for Indonesian citizens received by the Indonesian KPU.

The Indonesian Ambassador Sunarko in his remarks appreciated the hard work and performance of the entire PPLN Khartoum and Pantarlih team who had completed their initial task, namely validating the Foreign Temporary Voters List (DPS LN) properly and on time.

The Indonesian Ambassador also conveyed a message to PPLN Khartoum and Pantarlih to continue to work hard and enthusiastically in a professional, independent manner and maintain neutrality in overseeing the stages of the 2024 Election.

The Ambassador invited all Indonesian citizens who are in Sudan and in South Sudan to be able to exercise their right to vote at the democratic party which will be held in February 2024.

The Indonesian Embassy in Khartoum is committed to continuing to support and facilitate PPLN Khartoum so that they can complete all stages of the election smoothly and successfully.

At the end of the meeting, PPLN Khartoum handed over a copy of the Minutes of the Open Plenary Meeting to representatives of political parties in Sudan and the Indonesian Embassy in Khartoum.
