Alumni move to reposition institution for excellence
The Command Secondary School, Jos, Old Students Association (COJOSA) has initiated policies and blueprints to reposition the school as well as boost the welfare of its members.
The President COJOSA, Ademola Kasumu, stated this at a grand reunion event attended by dignitaries and old students in Lagos.
He reiterated the need for stakeholders and government to collaborate with the school authority to restore the institution and emphasized that apart from provision of infrastructure, human resources upgrade and finances play vital roles in educational development.
Mr Kasumu stressed that plans are in place to restore the glory of the school as the association recently commissioned a professional assessment of damages of physical infrastructure in the school.
He urged all sets, chapters and individuals of goodwill to go through the document to identify areas where they can make their contribution.
The GOC 81 Division and representative of Chief of Army staff Lt Gen Buratai assured COJOSA that the army would do its best to continue supporting the Command Secondary Schools around the country.
He emphasized the role and place of Alumni groups like COJOSA as catalysts for growth and development in the country.
Speaking at the occasion Vice President of the association in charge of Media & Publicity, Mr Sonny Akoh said that the association had recently refurbished its website which now houses the COJOSA Business Directory, where all members are expected and invited to log on and upload details of their profession.
The directory is designed to call up all members offering specific business services or professional needs, from Fashion Designing to Oil & Gas and to Medical Services.
