Ambode appoints five new permanent secretaries

The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, has charged the state civil servants to contribute to making the state Africa’s mega city and tourists destination.

Ambode, who said this in Lagos last week at the swearing in ceremony of new five permanent secretaries, stated that the new permanent secretaries were pointed not just to fill vacant positions but a product of a thought out idea aimed at ensuring that vision meets human resources.

The new appointee are Mrs Florence Ebunoluwa Oluwasuji, Permanent Secretary, Education District V; Dr Shamsudeen Allison, Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Primary Health Care Board (PHCB); Engr Saliu Adeyemi, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment; Mr Senayon Hundeyin, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs; and Mrs Yetunde Odejayi, Permanent Secretary, Deputy Governor’s Office.

Ambode charged the new permanent secretaries to see their appointment as a call to duty thereby delivering high premium performance to all the residents of Lagos.
“I have no doubt that you are familiar with the vision of this government.”

He therefore urged them to work in line with that vision and even help to add value to that vision.

Noting that the appointment of the new permanent secretaries is a product of long years of veritable service and sound career records, he implored them not to rest on their oars but deliver to the people, a Lagos that provides thoughtful leadership. “I look forward to feeling the impact of your appointment on our people,” the governor said.
