Manufacturer wins social entrepreneur award
A manufacturer of natural skin care products, Dr Temitope Mayegun, has won the ‘Social Entrepreneur of the Year’ award. Mayegun, who is the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Avila Naturalle, was awarded at the African Women Entrepreneurship and Innovation Forum (AWEIF) 2024 Conference held in Johannesburg, South Africa.
AWEIF awards aim at recognising and celebrating outstanding women entrepreneurs and innovators who are making positive impacts in their communities and the African continent.
The award is given to entrepreneurs who have demonstrated exceptional social impact, innovation and leadership in their businesses. While receiving the award, Mayegun expressed profound gratitude to the organisers of the conference, as she highlighted the significance of the recognition to the company and its vision to impact lives positively across Africa.
She said the recognition was a testament to the company’s hard work and dedication to creating natural and effective skincare products that not only enrich lives but also empower women and promote healthy living across the African continent .
