The new Chairman of the Electrical Dealers’ Association of Nigeria (EDAN) has assured members that his administration will ensure a good atmosphere for peaceful business operations.

Speaking during his inauguration ceremony held in Lagos, Mr. Ezeradi Ezeorjika said that machinery has been put in place by his team of executives to unite members for the growth, progress and development of the Association as well as ensure a thriving business environment.

According to him, the Association under his rule will follow all government laid down rules, policies and guidelines in executing her numerous projects, which are geared towards achieving better marketing and sales conditions for its members.

“It is important to note that the market is known for standardization in accordance with government polices, and we will defend this to the core. We are determined to ensure good working environment for all of us, which would promote the association and the business.

“We are thereby advising that members should obey all business agreements, as any activity, or business by anybody or company going contrary to government standards will not be welcomed.

We shall not tolerate lawlessness within or outside business environments as we will be working with all government law enforcement agencies for the progress of the market, the business and inhabitants,” he said.

He further pleaded for the support and cooperation of members in achieving the goals, and executing the projects that have been outlined by the new executives.

He added: “EDAN is a peaceful section of Alaba International Market. We therefore assure everyone that with sincere cooperation; equity, justice and fairness will be the watchword towards the achievement of the association.

Let us assiduously work together to move ourselves, the association, the business, and the market to greater heights irrespective of the challenges especially here in our country, so that efforts our patrons and stakeholders will not be in vain.”

In his speech, the immediate past Chairman, Mr. Martins Egbeyiugo admonished the new executives to have the interests of the Association at heart even in their dealings saying that would guarantee them a successful tenure.

He noted that though he was not able to complete his tenure because of the crisis that rocked the association, he however assured his support to the new administration.
