Fidelity-Bank-Plc-Lagos-Head-OfficeFidelity Bank Plc has been adjudged the best bank to work for in Nigeria, in a recent study conducted by Venture Africa, an online platform for news and analysis about African businesses, in conjunction with Jobberman.com, Nigeria’s employment website.

The lender emerged not only among the top 12 most preferred places to work in Nigeria, but only bank that made the list.

The report tagged: “Top 100 companies for Nigerian millennials” surveyed young Nigerians born between 1982 and 2003 and measured company culture, dream-company, staff welfare, gender equality, government institution, company’s prestige, salary, and non-salary benefits.

It also looked at the level of satisfaction, salary consideration, level of contentment, career growth, concerns outside work and work-life balance among others.

According to the organisers, Fidelity Bank led all other banks in the country in all the measuring indices.

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, of the bank, NnamdiOkonkwo, said that the development is a testament to the bank’s robust human capital management policies, which focuses on enhancing the lives and wellbeing of employees.

He explained that the bank places a premium in supporting and rewarding the performance of its people.

“We are proud to be honoured, especially because of our strong initiative and focus not only on staff welfare but also on the wellbeing of their families”.

Okonkwo, alluding to the great work the bank has done in making it a great workplace, cited the Great Place To Work (GPTW) studies conducted in more than 44 countries and 4,500 organizations, which had seen corporations like Google, Goldman Sachs and Microsoft emerge as winners together with Fidelity Bank.

He said that he is proud that the lender belongs to this league, having won the award on two occasions.

Last year, it was voted the second best place to work in Nigeria by the GPTW, a United States-based global research agency with operations in more than 40 countries across the world.
