Ganduje sends six commissioner – nominees to legistators
Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has forwarded a list of six commissioner designates to the state House of Assembly for confirmation.
Among the new commissioner hopeful are Musa Illiasu Kwankwaso, a political associate of former governor Ibrahim Shekarau who had defected to All Progressives Congress (APC).
Presenting the governor’s letter of nomination before the members, Speaker of the House, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, revealed that the House received the list of six commissioner nominees from governor Ganduje for confirmation.
Reading the letter during plenary, he said the other names are: Aminu Aliyu, Aminu Mukhtar Dan Amu, Ibrahim Muhd, Aishattu Jaafar and Ahmed Rabiu.
Ata announced that the nominees are to appear in the House for screening.
Ganduje may not leave any stones unturned to realign the political structure of APC in Kano ahead of 2019 with the major cabinet restructure in the state executive council.
