The Board of Ultimate Health Management Services has appointed Thomas Awagu, an Architect as its independent Non-Executive Director with effect from April 2016.

The appointment, according to a statement from the company, is in recognition of Awagu’s track records, as an astute professional and businessman of repute.

A fellow and former President/Chairman of Council of the Institute of Directors (IoD), he graduated with a Second Class Upper Division in Architecture from the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria in 1973 and bagged M.Sc in the same discipline in 1976.

He joined Niger Consultants and Architects in 1973. In 1980, he established Pyramids Designs Company Ltd (Now Plc.) and has remained its Chief Executive Officer till date.

Awagu, a distinguished professional with strong business acumen, is a member of the Nigeria Institute of Architect (NIA), Member, Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and a member of the Bank Directors Association of Nigeria (BDAN). He was also the immediate past President and Chairman of Council of the Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
