More millionaires emerge at Fidelity Bank’s promo

About 12 persons across the six geo-political zones were rewarded with N18 million, comprising N3millon, N2million and N1million wins, as well as 18 consolation prizes, during the draw for Fidelity Bank’s Get Alert In Millions (GAIM) promotions.

The winners emerged at the just-concluded fourth monthly/second bi-monthly draw of the savings promo, in its third season, held at the lender’s head office in Lagos.The winners include Charles Okafor, a businessman from Dei Dei Branch in Abuja, who won N3 million and Oghenewajutome Ezo, from South-West region, Owo Road, who also won N3million.

The other millionaires include Emmanuella Igbojionu from VGC branch, Lagos, and Grace Seidel from Makurdi branch, who won N2million each, while Chidimma Nnatuanya, Digidi Dunhill, Peter Obuh, Josephine Ilori, Odozi Gloria, Ibom Ebere, Ogedegbe Frank, and a group, Man of Order and Discipline, that won N1million each.

Similarly, 18 persons also won consolation prizes of television, generators and refrigerators.The Executive Director, Shared Services and Products, Chijioke Ugochukwu, who commended the winners, said the promo is open to everyone irrespective of persons involved and location.

According to her, the financial institution is targeting significant increase in its current base, in terms of diversity of customer base, including children for school fees account.

The bank’s Divisional Head, Retail Group, Richard Madiebo, said there is the need to improve the savings culture of Nigerians, even as he advised people to start saving with the bank that has placed a lot of premium on savings.

“To get people into the financial inclusion is to get people into the formal financial net. We have also seen that for the average person on the street, the savings culture needs to be inculcated; most of the developed countries in the world have strong savings culture and with savings comes a lot of responsibilities and discipline. Savings is very important. Let people start saving that is why we place a lot of premium on our savings.”

To participate, Promo Manager, Janet Nnabuokwu, said that customers can open a savings account and grow it to N20, 000 or top up an existing account with N10, 000 or more to qualify for the monthly draws to win N1million or N2 million.

To qualify for the star prize of N3million, she explained that customers are expected to grow their account balances by N50,000 monthly, while accounts that maintain minimum balance of N200,000 would qualify for the grand prize of a whooping N10 million.
