NES elects new governing council members

The Nigerian Economic Society (NES) has elected new members to its governing council.The members were elected during the society’s 64th yearly conference, held in Abuja, with the theme ‘Building Resilience for Transformational Recovery.’

A statement by its National Secretary, Dr. Frank Ogbeide, said 16 council members would govern the society for the next two years.

According to him, the NES, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the advancement of economic knowledge, research and policy development in Nigeria, remains at the forefront of economic discourse and policy formulation in Nigeria. The Council members include its President, Prof. Adeola Adenikinju, Vice President. Baba Musa and Prof. Ifeoma Madueme, among others.
