Ogedengbe bags NIPR fellowship

Managing Director/Principal Consultant of PR Plus Consulting Limited, Kunle Ogedengbe, has been decorated with the Fellowship Gold Medal of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).

Managing Director/Principal Consultant of PR Plus Consulting Limited, Kunle Ogedengbe, has been decorated with the Fellowship Gold Medal of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).

He was decorated at the 2018 Conference and Annual General Meeting of the institute in Umuahia, Abia State recently.

Ogedengbe, who is also the Country Representative – Nigeria of The Banker Magazine, Financial Times, London, United Kingdom, has over 26 years experience in media, public relations, advertising, research, strategy, corporate planning, marketing and academics.

He set up the public relations department of MTN Nigeria and was at various times Head, Corporate Communication and Strategy at Sovereign Trust Insurance Company Plc where he was also Secretary of Top Management and UnityKapital Assurance Plc (now Veritas Kapital Assurance Plc), as well as Advertising Manager at Chellarams Plc.

The chartered public relations practitioner has facilitated in public relations in tertiary institutions including the Mass Communication Department of University of Lagos; School of Communication of the Lagos State University (LASU) and School of Media and Communication of Pan Atlantic University.

Others are Mass Communication Department of Ambrose Alli University; Lagos State Polytechnic; and Public Relations Academy of NIPR, as well as Research Assistant on the Paper Insight Nigeria at University of Hertfordshire Business School, United Kingdom.

He holds a M.Sc. degree in Mass Communication from Lagos State University (LASU); another M.Sc. degree in Finance from the University of Calabar; B.Sc. (Hons), Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

He also holds Higher National Diploma in Mass Communication from The Polytechnic, Ibadan; Professional Diploma of the NIPR (Chartered); and Certificates in Internal Communication and Brand Management from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), United Kingdom.

He has authored many books including Media of Public Relations; Principles and Practice of Community Relations – A Premier and co-authored Issues in PR; Advertology and Capsule History and Development of GSM in Nigeria, among others
