The fifth edition of Benin City Film Festival will hold from December 21 to 22 at Sir Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub, Airport Road, Benin City, Edo State. The two days event, which will feature screening of movies, workshop/seminar exhibitions and awards/gala night, is organised by Nigeria Film Society and Abog Communications in collaboration with the Edo State government and Nigeria Institute of Hospitality and Tourism.

The festival is aimed at presenting quality films to visiting film enthusiasts in Benin City. It is also designed to encourage local people and international visitors who attend the festival to engage in the creative filmmaking process by participating in seminars, events, and workshops running in parallel to the festival screenings. The theme for this edition is, Film An Imperative Medium For Social Cultural Development.
