Another veteran actor Ameachi Muonagor makes a distress call

Barely two weeks after we relayed the details of the distress call that popular comic actor John Okafor made over the worsening condition of his health, another actor, a veteran of the Nollywood industry Amaechi Muonagor has pulled his own call to us, this time crying out to the public for support to help him battle with stroke that has left him bedridden for several months.

In a viral video released on his social media platforms and shared by some of his colleagues, the actor of vast credit known for his role in the hit comic movie Aki Nu Ukwa (Aki and Paw Paw) starring Chinedu Ikedieze and Osita Iheme revealed that he has been suffering from stroke for the past seven months.

“I am sick, this thing that is called stroke caught up with me, from there they rushed me to hospital,” a bedridden Muonagor said in a low tone in the video adding that the incident happened while making to leave a movie set after shoot.

“In that set, I was with Emeka Ani, Patience Ozokwo, Rita Edochie and Ebele Okaro, at the end of that moment, I was to enter my car when I was struck with this problem and since then it’s getting worse.

Right now, I cannot move, I can’t walk on my own.” Muonagor, a native of Obosi in Idemili Council of Anambra State said it has become expedient for him to make the appeal for financial support because his of the worsening state of his health “I am so sorry I didn’t make it known to the public earlier, because I didn’t know it will last this long, but as it is now, I am calling on well-minded individuals to come to my assistance, to see how they can help me.

It has paralyzed half of my body.” A busy actor who at a time in his career appeared in seven out of every movie produced in Nollywood, Muonagor, an economics graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka is star of critically acclaimed films such as Igodo, Ebube, Last Battle, Most Wanted Kidnappers, Jack and Jill, Village Rascal, My Village People and the 2022 remake of Aki And PawPaw by Play Network.
