
Daniella Okeke is not just a notable Nollywood star but a model, entrepreneur and philanthropist. She is a woman with a kind heart who believes in reaching out to the needy and putting smiles on their faces. She is the president and founder of Daniella Okeke Foundation.
Through the Daniella Okeke Foundation (DOF), she has carried out variety of projects which has catered to both young and old.
According to founder of DOF, Daniella Okeke, the non-profit organisation is a community impact established with passion to empower and uplift at-risk and the less privileged Nigerians accross the country.
“Our vision is to build a caring and better society. The foundation’s to ameliorate the sufferings of Nigerians as much as we can. Also, to give hope to the hopeless. Reaching out to those who cannot help themselves is my own little way of giving back to the society.
Through her NGO, the Imo State Indigene and Delta State University graduate of Fine and Applied Arts has done numerous laudable projects that has impacted positively on the lives of people in different parts of the country.
She said: “Since 2017, we have visited Kirikiri women’s federal prisons, where we distributed food items and other basic supplies to imprisoned women with their new born babies. Also, the DOF has also reached out to destitute homes, organise free medical screening or clinical checkup and invite health experts to enlighten people on the need to care for their health. We also taken our educational campaign to schools with our Stay At School project to mention a few.
She also mentioned that the Stay At School project is aimed at encouraging children to study and go to school. “The DOF believes so much in education. Education is very important because it is a powerful tool for empowerment and we are committed to help these children reach their fullest potentials.Through the Stay At School project, we have distributed essential writing like story book, text books, writing materials, school bags and other school supplies. We hope to do more as funds improves. The DOF will continue to do its best. We are working on a new projects which will be later revealed,” Okeke says.
