Nigerian actor, Amaebi Ekiye, is certain that with film as a tool for positive change, he is committed to deepening the oil rich Niger Delta narrative.

Ekiye’s commitment to using his talents to effect positive change has earned him the respect of his peers in the film industry.

He is respected for his professionalism, dedication to his craft and his willingness to use his platform to promote positive change in Nigeria.

According to Ekiye, the Niger Delta region is home to some of the poorest communities in Nigeria, despite the fact that it is one of the richest regions in the world. The local people have been marginalised and deprived of basic necessities such as access to clean water, healthcare, and education.

I have seen first hand the impact of these issues in my community, and I believe that the film industry can be a powerful tool for bringing attention to these issues. It is the reason I decided to pursue a positive career in the movie industry.

He believes that movies have the power to inspire change and bring attention to important issues. “I have also used his platform as an actor to speak out against corruption, promote social justice, and advocate for the rights of marginalised communities in Nigeria,” he said.
