
Alexander Adegboye is one of the few Nigeria Chef’s you won’t hear his name often in the media, his professionalism and entrepreneurial ethics have paved way for him in the faces of so many Restauranteurs across Nigeria.
Started his culinary career at age 17 in the city of Lagos after relocating from his motherland in Ondo to Lagos in 2013; At 19 he won the Lagos Teens Chef Hunt Cooking competition where he emerged the best teenage Chef in Lagos with a grand price of N1,000,000. Alexander started his first Job in Lagos a kitchen cleaner, his passion for cooking sky rocket extremely after this first encounter, he has since then wanted to acquire a culinary education. However, his financial background was a major deterrent, giving up has never been an option for him so he opted into buying culinary cookbooks with over 70% of his monthly pay as a cleaner. His growth with food and hospitality knowledge was too drastic that he got promoted to a kitchen assistant and he kept working his way up with resilence.

Chef Alexander have worked in several restaurant including the famous Lagos Motor Boat Club in the heart of Ikoyi Lagos, Eko Hotel’s 88 Restaurant in Victoria Island and have catered for several Private clients in Lagos and Abuja over the years, He has also consulted for several existing and new Restaurants. He has featured on several TV programs including TVC breakfast shows (wake up Nigeria), Silverbird TV’s Breakfast show, Rave TV, Pop Central’s culture Report, several other news publications and many more. He has also worked on co creating food contents for existing TV stations that are yet to launch.
Unlike every the Chef, Chef Alexander have proven to a lot of other Chefs that cooking goes beyond the four walls of the kitchen with the following achievements.
At 21, He wrote his first book titled “The Chef in You” After he emerged the winner of the Lagos cooking Competition – A book which have become a majour sensation on Amazon. This book he said was written to inspire other young and aspiring culinary enthusiast to not give up on their dreams despite all odds, making sure they bring out the Chef in them.
This book featured contributions from several other Nigerian Chef and other chefs across the globe including Chef Fregz, Chef Stone -Founder of Reddish Chronicles Culinary School, Chef Dumebi Agbakoba – Founder of Samantha’s, Chef Angwe Comfort, Chef Thabo Phake of South Africa, Chef Soussou Elias, Chef Moonu – Mumbai India, Rubia Zablon – Nairobi, Kenya, Chef Gibbs, Chef Otu Femi, Chef Smart Akomolafe and many other notable Chefs with the influence of his wide network of Chefs.

At 22 he wrote his second book titled “Assassinated Cuisine” Chef Alexander Is the founder of Nigeria’s first Ecommerce website – Chefs Market; a brand that sells culinary tools, equipment and apparel with a large database of Nigerian restauranteurs and professional Chefs. He is also the founder of Nigeria’s first Digital Culinary School amongst other brands founded by him.
He is a notable member of Culinary Arts Practitioners Association of Nigeria (CAPA) We salute his achievements at 27 and look forward to seeing more Nigerian restaurants thriving on his indepth knowledge of hospitality.
