OMONI Oboli’s highly anticipated movie The First Lady, which will be in cinemas from October 1, will be premiered on September 29, 2015 at Silverbird Galleria, Lagos. The First Lady is the story of a girl named Michelle (Omoni Oboli) who becomes a prostitute for Obama (Alex Ekubo).

She is so engrossed in it until she meets a man she loves named Kelechi (Joseph Benjamin and Chinedu Ikedieze).

The event that surrounds their love is intriguing. One of the interesting parts of the movie is seeing Chinedu Ikedieze and Joseph Benjamin playing the same role; the transition between the diminutive Chinedu Ikedieze and obviously tall Joseph Benjamin is artistically done and earn the commendation of few critics who have seen the movie.

It’s a movie about love, anger, fear, suspicion, hatred, vengeance, trust, and promises full entertainment, fun, suspense, comedy. Nollywood’s known faces such as Alex Ekubo, Chinedu Ikedieze, Joseph Benjamin, Udoka Oyeka, Yvonne Jegede, Tony Monjaro, Oboli and lot of others star in it. The movie is written, directed and produced by Omoni Oboli.

Oboli said the movie is a comedy per excellence, “People who like Being Mrs. Elliot have asked me if this is better and I told them it is difficult to compare movies, but one thing I can assure you is this, if you love comedy, you will love The First Lady. It ranks very high on comedy and has high dose of entertainment.”

Ikedieze said, “I really wanted to be a part of this movie when I saw the script, I was eager to be a part of this movie. The First Lady is definitely another blockbuster from Omoni Oboli and it’s a movie everyone should see.”
