I shine like the night of the darkest sun.

I shine like the night of the darkest sun.

In the heart of the moon I aim thrown with my assegai.

Under which soil was laughing at the mixture of blood and hate.

Men with all they have abandoned to agree to war.

Today they are in the decision to call God in, on their shared madness.

Remember the drums beat to heroism and love for the land.

Women and children called Achilles tendon.

Child soldiers sharing toys at the playground.

And if it is your sister she will satisfy a he-goat.

But it is our land and we have to love it.

And if we have to die under this umbrellas of brooms.

Let’s do so that we wanted nothing but a piece of calm and continue.

Gangba, who studied Biology Education at the Taraba State University, was born in Kano State, but had his upbringing in Jalingo, Taraba State.
