Theatremania Africa, Shodex Gardens, Nkan Media to stage Whispers on Easter Monday

As part of events and activations heralding TheatreMania Africa Festival (TAF) come October 14 to 17, 2025 in Lagos, Nigeria, the organisers have started a quarterly stage production where they bring in top CEOs, busy executives and few Nollywood stars to come and act on stage.

The idea is to bring lovers of the theatre, arts, creative expressions and others to come and watch the production. The busy executives and the top CEOs are expected to invite their families, friends, colleagues and acquaintances to celebrate them as they mount the stage to act, display and unleashed creative prowess.

The play on parade this Easter is titled, Whispers. It is scheduled to hold on Easter Monday April 21, 2025 at the Main Hall, Shodex Gardens, 251/253, Ikorodu Road, Ilupeju, Lagos by 3.30pm for Matinee and 6.00pm for the Command Performance.

According to the producer and CEO, TheatreMania Africa Festival (TAF), “Whispers is a play that chronicles the current reality of love, lust and enmity among people. It mirrors the cultural dichotomy and beliefs in our society. It speaks to thematic thrusts of love, age long bitterness, generational family feud, unity, perseverance, diligence, powerplay.”

The play in itself is didactic, entertaining, comical, musical in nature and yet contemporary in terms of its thematic thrust. Starring are Nollywood star, Rotimi Adelegan; legal luminary and businessman, Otunba Olu Adenodi; award winning horticulturalist and the CEO, Shodex Gardens, Mr. Olusola Adekoya. Also acting on stage are the convener, The Street University Project (TSUP), Helen Sosu-Ezirim and others.
