Internationally acclaimed Hollywood actor, Kofi Anthony Okenini has revealed why most female actors are more successful in the industry. The Delta state (Warri) born thespian who has been making waves in his acting career, said actresses have more opportunities than their male counterparts.

He added that, though it’s not wrong to give female more opportunities to excel, some organisation create a better environment for them to achieve their goals.

He made this known in an interaction with some journalists after his trip abroad.

Okenini said acting is not as easy as people think, explaining why one need to be well schooled to understand perfect interpretation of script.

“Yes, some female counterparts are more successful because most organisations have created responsibility and better policies and opportunities for women. Its time to support women to step forward and overcome the habits holding them back and close the gap in gender inequality.

“Acting is difficult because it is difficult to build acting abilities, self assurance , and professional connections. However, it’s not just about your talent while you are on stage or in front of the camera, its also about discipline, perseverance, and self motivation.”
