Winners emerge at Miss Igala Nigeria 2019 contest


Makoji being crowned Miss Igala

After rigorous screenings and a challenging contest among 13 finalists in the 2019 Miss Igala Nigeria beauty pageant, Favour Makoji has emerged the ultimate winner. She was crowned Miss Igala Naija by a director at the Supreme Court, Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan.
The beauty contest was organised by Confluence Concept Productions Limited, Abuja, to promote the Igala culture and equip their women with confidence. With this feat, Makoji is entitled to a brand new car and a monthly salary for the next 12 months.
Also, Grace Sule emerged Face of Igala Nigeria by Hajia Mariam Indira (Converner of Igala Cultural Carnival). She is entitled to cash prize of N50,000, and a wardrobe allowance, while Rhoda Gabriel won Miss Igala Ambassador and will be paid cash prize of N30,000 and the brand ambassador for Confluence Concept Productions Limited, Nicky Blessing, won Miss Igala Finest with a cash prize of N10,000 and the brand ambassador.
In her remarks, Chief Executive Officer, Confluence Concept Productions Limited, Jedie Eleojo Grace said, “It was necessary to empower women, especially the younger generation, through the showcasing of the Igala culture,” noting that the contest was committed to finding young ladies who defy the stereotypical perception of beauty queens as just superficial.
Miss Igala Nigeria is an annual beauty pageant, which showcases positive attributes of Igala women, equipping and awarding them with scholarships and cash prices. Winners must portray exemplary qualities and serve as role models for young women in the country, as winners are not chosen based on physical attributes alone.
Dignitaries at the event were Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Yomi Kolawole, Chairman, Idah Local Government Area, Kogi, Hillary Amodu, amongst others.
