Artist reflects on human condition through art
Nigeria, filled with more than 250 ethnic groups, has one of the richest cultures in the world, with art being one of the country’s mediums of expression.
Nigerians home and abroad have shown that there is a whole lot more to the West African nation and its people than the often peddled narratives. Like Shakespeare wrote about greatness in one of his classic plays, Macbeth, “Some were born great, while others had greatness thrust upon them”.
Every generation experienced its share of successful young patriot.
In order to successfully navigate the future of arts, the journey has to start as early as possible, with those who exhibit artistic traits or an interest in art. These disruptions, opening the floodgates for Future of Work, are inevitable. It’s all about being prepared for it, and young artists hold the key.
Damola Ayegbayo is a perfect example from local to international, artist Damola Ayegbayo has a knack for using the culture that surrounds him to create powerful messages that reflect the human condition through art.
Because of his impact and also been among the biggest art players in Nigeria especially in osun state. Abayomi Mighty who is a renowned International Public Speaker, Author and Development Consultant found him fascinating and he is currently writing a book on Damola Ayegbayo artistic life circle tittled ” Art is life”.
Damola Ayegbayo is an Expressionist Artist with a demonstrated history of working in the arts and crafts industry. He obtained his Bachelor’s in Education in Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, from the Department of Fine and Applied Arts where he specialized in painting.
His works convey the power of the beauty of black African women, the reality of life and morals through color and black beautiful women faces.
He presently has over 1500 paintings and visual works, making him stand out, his artworks have been acquired and exhibited across the globe in galleries because of it uniqueness.
