NIN-SIM exercise gets fresh three months extension

The Federal Government has extended the NIN-SIM verification exercise by three months.

This means that the earlier deadline of December 31, 2021, has moved to March 31, 2022.

A statement jointly signed by the Director of Public Affairs, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr Ike Adinde and Head of Corporate Communications, National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Kayode Adegoke, confirmed this development, Friday.

According to the statement, NIN enrolments have exceeded 71 million as FG extends NIN-SIM Verification to March 31st, 2022.

According to NCC and NIMC, as of December 30, 2021, the identity commission has over 14,000 enrolment centres set up across the country to facilitate and fast track the process.
