29 ships expected at Lagos ports

Twenty-nine ships are expected to offload their cargoes at the Lagos ports from May 22 to June 5, the Nigerian Ports Authority(NPA) said on Friday in Lagos.

This is contained in the NPA’s daily publication, “Shipping Position,’’ in Lagos.

It said that 10 of the expected ships would arrive with containers, while eight others were to sail in with food products.

The food products include frozen fish, soya beans, buckwheat, bulk salt and crude palm oil.

It said that five of the ships would arrive with petrol and diesel.

General cargo are to arrive in four ships, while two other ships are expected with vehicles, the publication said.

Meanwhile, 15 ships have arrived at the Lagos ports with various products, it added.

It said that nine of the ships arrived with petroleum products, including petrol, bulk gas, base oil, aviation fuel and diesel.

The remaining six ships arrived the ports with rice in bags and frozen fish
