The gesture, courtesy of Adbond, an agro-to-home development company, through its green wealth summit where it gave out seeds to encourage people, “employ 2,000 youths both directly and indirectly as virtual staff, who work passionately to realise the vision and they remain the backbone of our success.”
Chief Executive Officer and founder of Adbond, Oluwagbemiga Adekoya, who disclosed this in Lagos, during the firm’s 7th-year anniversary, said the firm has reached a significant milestone, with seven years of transformative growth.
Over 3, 900 people, he said, have benefitted over the years through the innovative vision of the firm.
Adekoya stressed that their unwavering commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has bore fruit, contributing to economic growth, agriculture, and community development through Urban-Rural Migration and Rural-Urban Development Projects from one village community to another.
According to him, though home may be the joyful source desired by Nigerians to create wealth, he said Agriculture from inception is the core profession of Africans/forefathers that have been the source of national, cooperation, and individual prosperity.
He said: “We set out to create an environment for families, individuals, businesses, cooperative societies, Nigerians and Africans in Diaspora to secure their future spaces.
“What started as diversified real estate options and locations for our clients soon transformed into something more profound. We embarked on a mission to encourage our clients to create wealth through “agro-to-home” development projects.
“Our belief is simple yet powerful: by integrating agriculture and residential development, we not only redefine comfortable living but also pave the way for sustainable and prosperous communities in Africa. Where a generation calls a farm is where another generation calls home.
“Our vision and purpose is to promote wealth and unity from Nigeria to the Rest of Africa. Our impact over the years cut across also fulfilling some sustainable development goals in the areas of Zero hunger, No Poverty, Gender Equality, Quality Education & Economic growth and Empowerment.”
Also, Director and Agro Developer at Adbond Harvest and Homes, StephenAwoyemi, said fund is required to expand the project and reach greater number of youths.
Explaining further, he said Adbond adopts innovative approach in home delivery by investing in agriculture and using the process in building instead of allowing lands to lie fallow.
“We encourage people to secure space for long term investments, especially areas not really developed, and use them for agricultural purposes.
“We try to segment lands for agriculture and building within the axis. It is alike a journey engage them on its use before development,” he said.
