Air Peace has unveiled plans to expand its domestic and regional operations by increasing flight frequencies on key Nigerian routes while introducing new services to four African cities.
The airline said the expansion was part of its strategy to strengthen connectivity, stimulate trade and position Lagos as a leading aviation hub in West and Central Africa.
A statement yesterday by the airline’s spokesman, Efe Osifo-Whiskey, said the expansion, which would commence between June and August 2026, shows the carrier’s commitment to meeting growing passenger demand and enhancing travel options for business and leisure travellers across its network.
Under its revised Summer 2026 schedule, effective June 22, Air Peace would deploy additional capacity on several high-demand domestic routes, increasing frequencies between major commercial and regional centres across Nigeria.
The enhanced domestic schedule includes up to seven daily flights between Lagos and Abuja, four daily flights on the Lagos-Owerri route, three daily services between Lagos and Asaba, and two daily flights each on the Lagos-Benin, Lagos-Warri, Lagos-Enugu, Abuja-Owerri and Abuja-Asaba routes.
According to the statement, the increased frequencies are designed to provide passengers with greater flexibility, improved connectivity and more convenient travel schedules while boosting seat capacity across its domestic network.
Besides, the airline also revealed plans for new regional services connecting Lagos with Douala and Libreville in Central Africa, as well as Bamako and Conakry in West Africa.
The new international routes are scheduled to commence on August 1, 2026, Air Peace said.
The Lagos-Douala-Libreville-Douala-Lagos service would operate four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, while the Lagos-Bamako-Conakry-Bamako-Lagos route would operate three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The airline said the introduction of the new destinations marked another milestone in its network growth strategy and aligned with its vision of promoting seamless air connectivity across the African continent.
With the additional regional services, passengers travelling from Cameroon, Gabon, Mali and Guinea would gain access to Air Peace’s extensive domestic network through its Lagos hub, enabling onward connections to cities such as Abuja, Port Harcourt, Benin, Enugu, Owerri, Kano, Asaba, Gombe, Ibadan, Yola and Maiduguri, among others.
The airline noted that the new routes would also provide easier access to its growing international network, including services to London Gatwick and Caribbean destinations such as Antigua and Barbados.
The development is also expected to support the objectives of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM), both of which seek to remove barriers to air travel and trade across Africa.
The airline urged passengers, corporate organisations and travel agencies to take advantage of the expanded network, competitive fares and seamless connectivity available across its domestic, regional and international operations.
