Solaren Risk Management builds strategic partnerships with local law enforcement through Jack Byrd’s Leadership

Effective private security operations require strategic partnerships that extend operational capabilities while maintaining clear jurisdictional boundaries. Solaren Risk Management has developed comprehensive partnership frameworks under Jack Byrd’s leadership, establishing collaborative relationships with law enforcement agencies, technology vendors, and community organizations across the southeastern United States.

The foundation of Solaren’s law enforcement partnerships stems from mutual operational benefits and shared public safety objectives. “We work directly with Metro in a lot of capacities,” explains Bethany Gill, Director of Operations. “We’ve built a really good rapport with them because it is supposed to be a very collaborative relationship in a lot of ways.”

Multi-Jurisdictional Law Enforcement Coordination
Partnership strategies adapt to different jurisdictional requirements across Solaren’s operational footprint. “There’s a festival that we do in Franklin, Tennessee. Franklin has their own police department outside of Metro,” Gill notes. “We have to talk to them, work with them, if they have anything that they want to change in the action plans or anything like that.”

Event coordination requires advance planning with multiple law enforcement agencies. During large-scale events, Solaren Risk Management operates within established command structures while maintaining distinct operational responsibilities. “Metro Control some of the other areas, but they’re the ones that usually run the entire action plan for the event,” Gill explains.

Communication protocols facilitate real-time coordination during active operations. “There’s always an operations command center at every event where everybody is on, they all have access to radios and they all have access to all the channels being used,” Gill describes. “So fire, police, security, anybody who works at an event.”

Technology Vendor Partnerships
Strategic technology partnerships enable Solaren to deploy advanced surveillance and monitoring capabilities. The company’s relationship with LiveView Technologies exemplifies this approach. “We partner with a company called LiveView Technologies. They create these mobile surveillance trailers that you can deploy quickly and they’re solar powered,” Gill explains.

Technology integration requires ongoing vendor support and training coordination. “Every once in a while you have to replace a battery or something like that, but more or less, a lot of our clients have loved having that option,” Gill notes about the maintenance and support aspects of technology partnerships.

Deployment capabilities extend beyond equipment provision to include technical support and system management. Solaren’s technology partnerships enable clients to access advanced surveillance systems without requiring extensive technical expertise or maintenance capabilities.

Training and Professional Development Partnerships
Law enforcement training partnerships enhance professional development opportunities for Solaren personnel. “We have our training coordinator, Darrell Webb, he’s phenomenal. He’s active law enforcement and he knows his stuff for sure,” Gill states. “He does a lot of the training through the law enforcement agency, the department that he works in.”

Specialized training programs leverage law enforcement expertise and facilities. The Tactical Emergency Casualty Care course represents one example of collaborative training delivery. “It was a three-day course talking about how to use tourniquets, how to do CPR, all that kind of stuff,” Gill describes.

Professional certification programs benefit from law enforcement partnerships that provide access to current training standards and methodologies. These relationships ensure Solaren personnel receive training that aligns with law enforcement best practices while addressing private security operational requirements.

Community Organization Collaborations
Solaren Risk Management maintains partnerships with community organizations that enhance operational effectiveness and public relations. The company’s participation in National Night Out Against Crime demonstrates this community engagement approach. Annual events include collaboration with Metro Nashville Police Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol, and Nashville Metro Fire Department.

Community partnerships extend to charitable organizations and social service providers. Solaren’s involvement with organizations like Safe Haven Family Shelter, Nashville Rescue Mission, and Room in the Inn reflects the company’s commitment to addressing broader community safety concerns beyond traditional security services.

Event partnerships enable Solaren to support community initiatives while demonstrating operational capabilities. “We brought hundreds of pencils, erasers, markers and more to ensure that our local students can succeed in our schools,” Gill recounts about community outreach activities.

Operational Support and Resource Sharing
Partnership frameworks facilitate resource sharing during emergency situations and large-scale events. “We very much rely on them to succeed in our job,” Gill acknowledges regarding law enforcement relationships. “There’s no way we’re not going to be able to do that without them.”

Emergency response partnerships proved essential during Hurricane Milton deployment. Coordination with local law enforcement agencies enabled Solaren to operate effectively in unfamiliar jurisdictions while maintaining appropriate legal authority and operational protocols.

Information sharing protocols support ongoing operational effectiveness. Regular communication with law enforcement partners enables Solaren to stay informed about emerging threats, regulatory changes, and operational best practices relevant to private security operations.

Quality Assurance and Standards Alignment
Partnership relationships support quality assurance through shared standards and best practices. “It doesn’t make sense to try to be combative with local law enforcement in any capacity,” Gill emphasizes. “We’re trying to provide services. We’re doing the same job essentially in just different ways.”

Performance measurement benefits from law enforcement partnership feedback and collaboration. Joint training exercises and coordinated operations provide opportunities to assess and improve operational protocols while strengthening working relationships.

Standards alignment ensures Solaren personnel can integrate effectively with law enforcement operations when situations require coordinated response. Training programs and operational procedures reflect input from law enforcement partners to maintain compatibility and effectiveness.

Jack Byrd’s strategic partnership approach has enabled Solaren Risk Management to expand operational capabilities while maintaining professional relationships that enhance service delivery. The combination of law enforcement collaboration, technology partnerships, and community engagement creates a comprehensive framework that supports both immediate operational needs and long-term organizational development goals.
