Carbon, PalmPay to rattle payment system with cards
Carbon and PalmPay have begun issuing Verve cards to their customers to expand digital payment options and enhance financial inclusion across the country, it was learnt.
The Guardian learnt that Carbon and PalmPay have joined other fintech companies like Opay and Moniepoint, which have also adopted Verve cards to provide seamless transactions for their customers.
This development is said to be in line with the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) financial inclusion goals, aiming to provide more Nigerians with access to modern banking and digital transactions.
The collaboration Verve grants over 30 million users access to Verve’s extensive payment network, bringing digital payment solutions to previously underserved populations and integrating fintech solutions into Nigeria’s growing cashless economy.
The partnership allows millions of Carbon and PalmPay customers to access Verve’s extensive payment network, bringing digital payment solutions to more Nigerians.
Industry experts see the collaboration as a strategic decision, given Verve’s wide network reach and robust infrastructure both in Nigeria and beyond.
During Verve’s 15th anniversary last year, over 70 million cards were issued, solidifying its dominance in Nigeria’s payment ecosystem.
Experts believe that its advanced features, including contactless payment technology and biometric authentication, position it as a strong competitor to international payment networks.
