Expert urges youths to embrace agribusiness

He stated this at the occasion of the World Egg Day and launching of 4-Egg Funtuna quadpak in Lagos, recently.
Agbato disclosed that agricultural sector has improved over the years as a result of government’s intervention in providing plants and machinery that make work easier and faster for farmers, adding that Nigerian youths are the best people to make use of the opportunity afforded through the use of such equipment.

Agbato explained that agriculture contributes about 40% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and should be given an attention in a bid to improve the nation’s economy.

Besides, as part of efforts to provide Nigerians with quality eggs, Animal Care Services launched its new 4-egg Funtuna quadpak which is available in two variants, the 4- quadpak optima and the quadpak biggie.

Speaking with The Guardian, Agbato emphasized the benefit of eating eggs on a daily basis, saying eggs are excellent source of high quality protein and are actually the best protein source nature provides, thus making the World Health Organization (WHO) and other health institutions use it as reference standard for the evaluation of protein quality in other foods.

He added that as a leading player in egg production and promotion in Nigeria, Animal Care Services has continually researched into providing high quality and nutritious eggs through its Funtuna eggs.

Agbato said professionals under hygienic conditions for the birds produce Funtuna eggs, as it is the biggest employers of professionals in livestock business in Nigeria, outside government.

His words: “Funtuna eggs are produced by professionals. We have veterinary doctors, animal scientists, agric economists among others who work as a team to produce quality eggs. Funtuna produce AAS quality of eggs, which means the kind of eggs that has its golden yellow and stand on its own while surrounded with the albumen”.
