The Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) has said that the planned Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Centre is designed to position Nigeria as a key player in the global outsourcing industry.
It equally said the Security Operations Centre (SOC) is a timely response to the escalating threats in the nation’s digital environment. Chief Executive Officer of DBI, David Daser said this at the pre-launch of the BPO and SOC centres, emphasising that there is a need to build capacity to protect the country’s national digital infrastructure.
He said the institute’s partnership with SBTS Group has made the vision a reality, bringing to life a platform that wouldtrain, employ and empower Nigerian youth in the high-demand sectors of outsourcing services and cybersecurity.
Daser said the event marked a significant milestone in the journey of DBI as it evolves into a more agile, responsive, and future-focused institution that supports national development in the digital age.
While urging the private sector for partnership, he said their impact would play a direct role in empowering the next generation of digital professionals in Nigeria.
According to him, with these centres, we are not only creating jobs, but we are also creating skills, resilience and security. Chief Executive Officer of SBTS Nigeria Limited, Evelyn Lewis, said the partnership with DBI not just as a project, but as a national mission that would unlock the immense potential of Nigeria’s human capital to power a secure and sustainable digital economy.
She said it aligned with the framework of its flagship initiative, the Intelligent Capacity Building Model (ICBM), which is a strategic model that merges workforce development with real-time technological deployment.
According to her, it is built to equip young Nigerians with the high-demand digital and cybersecurity skills needed to compete and thrive in the global digital economy.
The vision, she added, aligns closely with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu, particularly in the areas of skills development, youth employment, and digital inclusion.
